2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you register or apply as a creator.
- Profile information: Bio, category, topics, social media handles, session prices, and other details you add to your creator profile.
- Payment information: Mobile money numbers used for payments and payouts. We do not store card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Lemonade Payments.
- Content: Posts, images, videos, and other media you upload to the platform.
- Communications: Messages sent between creators and fans via our messaging system, including Priority DMs and paid questions.
- Session information: Booking details, availability, and session history.
Information collected automatically
- Device type, browser, operating system, and IP address.
- Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform.
- Referral source — how you arrived at Inner Circle.
- Transaction metadata: payment references, timestamps, and amounts.
3. How we use your information
- To operate and improve the platform and its features.
- To process payments, payouts, and refunds via Lemonade Payments.
- To facilitate sessions, messaging, subscriptions, group rooms, and paid questions between creators and fans.
- To send transactional emails — booking confirmations, payment receipts, payout notifications, and security alerts.
- To send product and feature updates (you can opt out at any time).
- To enforce our Terms of Service and Creator Guidelines.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Lemonade Payments: Your phone number and name are shared to process payments and payouts. Lemonade operates under its own privacy policy.
- Supabase: Our database and file storage provider.
- SendGrid: Used to send transactional and marketing emails.
- Between creators and fans: When a fan books a session or messages a creator, relevant profile information is shared to facilitate the interaction.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or regulatory authority in any jurisdiction where we operate.
5. Content you post
Content you post on Inner Circle — including posts, images, videos, and your creator profile — may be visible to other users according to your settings. Subscriber-only content is protected by signed URLs that expire after one hour and is visible only to active subscribers.
You retain ownership of all content you upload. By posting content, you grant Inner Circle a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform and in marketing materials.
6. Messages and communications
Messages exchanged between creators and fans — including Priority DMs, paid questions, and regular messages — are stored securely on our servers. We do not read private messages except where required to investigate reports of abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service.
7. Payment data
Payment transactions are processed by Lemonade Payments. We store transaction references, amounts, timestamps, and payment status for audit and payout purposes. We do not store full mobile money credentials. Refunds are processed automatically when SLA windows are breached (6 hours for Priority DMs, 48 hours for paid questions).
8. Data retention
- Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for 7 years after account closure for legal and financial compliance.
- Transaction records are retained for 7 years in compliance with financial regulations in our operating markets.
- Messages are retained for 12 months after the last activity in a conversation.
- Content you delete is removed from public view immediately and from our servers within 30 days.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.

10. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), signed and expiring media URLs, secure token-based authentication, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
11. Children
Inner Circle is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately at support@joininnercircle.vip.
12. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of Inner Circle after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
14. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes relating to privacy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
